GROUP NAME: Quest Seekers
Hey guys! I’m Brylee Brown, and I am from the small town of Loa, Utah. I went to Wayne High School, where I participated mostly in Cheer, FCCLA, and FFA. I'm a freshman here at Southern Utah University, and I'm studying Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education. When I am not studying school, you will find me reading, in a greenhouse, dancing, or anything that includes the outdoors. I am the second of four girls and love spending time with my family, especially my twin nieces. One thing you should know about me is that I am a social butterfly and love to make new friends. I am so excited to be a GHA counselor this year and become friends with all of you. I was a GHA participant in 2023, and let me tell you, it was a life-changing experience. My goal is to help you gain confidence and learn more about yourself. I hope you will be open to seeing from different perspectives and come on this quest of a lifetime with me. I can’t wait to see you in June! Coming Soon.....

Cole Flinders |
GROUP NAME: Cole's Clan
What's up everyone?! My name is Cole Flinders and I was born and raised in Syracuse, Utah. I am currently finishing up my freshman year at the BEST University of all time, Southern Utah University! I am a Hotel Resort and Hospitality major with an emphasis on Event Planning. I am also a Presidential Ambassador for the University where I help with recruitment! I fell in love with SUU when I went on a tour of the campus during my sophomore year of high school. I was then hooked from that moment on! I graduated from Clearfield High School in the spring of 2024. In high school, I was involved in Student Government and Theatre. I now spend most of my free time hanging with friends, playing games, listening to music, watching movies, or exploring Cedar City. I am a die-hard Harry Potter, and Disney fan, as well as Coca-Cola's loyalist customer. I love to try new things with my friends, and I am always down for anything. Especially if that thing includes a trip to St. George for a double-double at IN-N-OUT. I am so excited to meet you all this summer, and can’t wait to have a BLAST at GHA!

GROUP NAME: Acor's Acorns
Hey guys! My name is Cooper Acor and I am from Springville, Utah born and raised. I graduated from Springville high school in 2022. In high school I played volleyball and threw shot put, javelin, and discus for my Track and Field team. I participated in student council every year as well. I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Paraguay from July 2022 to July 2024. Which means I also speak Spanish and I absolutely love it. I am currently a Freshman here at SUU and I am in pre-Nursing and I will apply to the nursing program in a year. My dream job is to become a CRNA or an NP. I am a Presidential Ambassador here at SUU and it is the best! I have three older siblings so I am the baby of the family and I have three nieces and two nephews. My dad graduated from Cedar high school just right here in Cedar and my parents met here at SUU too. I went to GHA as a participant in 2021. GHA really changed my life and I learned so much about life and about myself. I am still close friends with so many participants from my year! Some things to know about me is that I love singing and just music in general. I love watching movies and understanding what makes them so good. I really love all sports and my favorite sports to watch are Football and Basketball. I love traveling and have visited over twenty different countries. I am such a social person and I love being surrounded by friends and doing fun things together. GHA is seriously the best and I am so excited! I can not wait to meet all of you and have the best GHA ever!

Cortland Dunlap |
GROUP NAME: Cortland's Crew
Hey everyone! I’m Cortland Dunlap! First thing to know about me is that I am so excited for GHA with you this year! Congrats! I attended GHA the summer before my senior year in 2020, and it truly did change the way I looked at life, pursue my goals, and overcome my challenges. Most importantly, it’s helped me better understand my perspective and the perspectives of others. I’m from Parowan, Utah, but I was born in Jackson hole, Wyoming and raised until I was 11 in Teton Valley, Idaho. I played football, soccer, and the trombone in band, as well as being involved in musicals and student government throughout high school in Parowan! After high school, I served a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Michigan and Indonesia, and then began my schooling here at SUU where I met my amazing wife! Going into my 3rd year, I’m a pre-med student majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies with minors in Chemistry, Biology, and Psychology! A few of my hobbies are taking four wheeler rides in the mountains, playing pickleball (and any other sports, though I may not be very good at them!), watching movies with my wife, and my favorite dessert is ice cream! Can't wait to meet and learn from you all this summer!

Deirdre Barton |
GROUP NAME: Sunny Deis
Mama look out, a GHA Counselor behind you!! It’s me, I’m the GHA counselor behind you! My name’s Deirdre (day-druh), & I’m genuinely so excited to be part of GHA this summer! When I’m not doing homework, taking photos (any other photographers here?!), working out (spin, pilates, the gym, playing basketball, and a good ‘ol hot girl walk are my methods of choice), or finding a new docuseries to watch, I’m probably doom scrolling on TikTok or going to some sort of sporting event.
Something about GHA that I think is honestly beautiful is that its whole goal is for you to grow. Grow as people, grow as leaders, and grow a better view of yourself. As a girl who finds it pretty unnatural to share how she really feels or even just to open up, I genuinely could not be more excited to create environments that feel open, comfortable, and a place you can grow in. I’ll see you on June 19! |
Elise McNett |
GROUP NAME: Rock Hoppers
Hi everyone!! My name is Elise McNett, and I am SO STOKED to be doing GHA this year! I’m from Saratoga Springs, Utah, where I attended Westlake High School (GO THUNDER!). In high school, I participated in almost everything I could, including student council, the swim team, Thundervision (a video broadcasting team), Westlake Unified, and, last but not least, the club I founded—aka the Granola Club. Then, I went off to college, where I found myself studying Strategic Communications. I’m finishing up my first year here and have loved every second of it!
I am the type of person who is happiest when surrounded by all different kinds of people, and the community at SUU has offered me just that, which I am so grateful for. I am also a Presidential Ambassador here, and sharing my love for SUU with everyone I come in contact with has been the coolest experience! When I’m not on campus, you’ll most likely find me outside with my friends. Whether it’s hiking, rock climbing, or the occasional hammocking, I feel the most like myself when I’m outdoors. I also love traveling and hope to make it to all 7 continents one day. Meeting new people is something that fills my heart, and I could not be more excited to get to know each and every one of you amazing people this summer! |

Heber Clawson |
GROUP NAME: Heebie Jeebies
What’s up y’all! My name is Heber Clawson, and I hail from God's county (otherwise known as Box Elder County). I graduated from Box Elder High School in 2021 where I spent all of my academic years as an SBO. After high school I served a mission for my church in the blessed land of Colombia. My mission gave me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people, to taste many wonderful foods, and gave me a passion for Spanish that has changed my life. I then came to Cedar City and am finishing up my Junior year here at SUU studying Spanish Education (para los que entienden esta oración, espero que tengas un excelente dia :)). I have the privilege of being a Presidential Ambassador, where I get to show off SUU and all that it has to offer. My special talent? Absolutely destroying an extra crispy Box Combo from Cane’s—no slaw, extra toast, BOB style. My ideal dinner at home? Medium steak with garlic potatoes and a hearty glass of milk. Other things that I love are traveling, being outdoors, watching The Hunger Games, and baking cakes (shoutout cakesbyheber, you might be able to find him on Instagram). This is my very first time being involved with GHA and I am incredibly stoked for this experience. See y’all in June!!Coming Soon.....
