GROUP NAME: Hirzel's Happy Campers
Hey hey party people! My name is Jessie Hirzel! I was born and raised in the great land of Coalville, Utah, where I raised pigs and ate handfuls of dirt because my older brother told me it was Coco Pebbles. I went to North Summit High School and graduated in 2020. While in high school, I played softball and basketball, was the president of my school’s HOSA chapter, worked on zip lines and ropes courses, played the flute, attempted to learn Spanish, and set the school record for most naps taken in the school library. I’ve had about two million different majors during my time at SUU, but I finally decided on Strategic Communication and will graduate next spring! I love sports, so my dream job is to work in social media for the Utah Jazz! I love to spend time outside rock climbing, zip lining, skateboarding, surfing, and doing anything of the sorts. I also love to listen to music, go to concerts, watch TikTok, cheer for the Jazz even though they disappoint me every year, travel, spend time with my friends and family, and watch early 2010s NBC sitcoms with my roommates (Community is our current favorite lol). I can’t wait to meet all of you and learn from all of you! Get ready for a lot of jokes, Vine references, and good times!! :)

Kaleb Cox |
GROUP NAME: Cox Country
Hey all, Kaleb here. I hail from Fairview, UT where I’ve lived the majority of my life and graduated from North Sanpete High School (go Hawks). While there I was on the tennis team for 3 years, performed in Newsies, and wrote, edited, and photographed for the award-winning NS Times journalism staff. By the time you meet me I will have just finished my freshman year here at the wonderful Southern Utah University. I’m a recently-declared psychology major and am looking to eventually become a therapist and maybe even a college professor as well. Because of my time serving amongst the people of Tahiti and its neighboring islands, je peux parler un peu de français. As far as interests go, I love video games (specifically Nintendo), basketball (go Jazz), and movies/filmmaking. I love watching video essays, and hope to be doing a bit of YouTube and podcasting shenanigans with my younger brother soon. Music is cool, and my favorite bands include Angels & Airwaves, The Killers, and Relient K. More importantly than anything I’ve mentioned so far though is my strong belief in empathy, hope, and justice. I can’t wait to meet all of you, whether I’m your counselor or not.
